The staircase includes a special powder coating (your choice of white or black), which has been tested by time and proven to work for decades all over the country, even in beach towns where the salt is relentless. Aluminum is the perfect material to resist rust in tough environments. When you powder coat, your spiral stair will last for years with no maintenance required.
This code compliant spiral staircase kit is designed to comply with Universal Building Code (UBC), International Fire Code (IFC), Building Officials Code Administrators International (BOCA) and International Residential Code (IRC). Finish:
The powder coating process for these stairs has been developed throughout the last thirty years as an exclusive process in which the aluminum is prepared using a proprietary process. This process is superior to sandblasting because it completely removes everything from the surface; this is established from over thirty years experience trying different processes with spirals. The stair is then sprayed with powder onto the stair which is promptly put into a specialty high temperature oven to ensure the powder is baked on properly. All of the stairs are then hand checked to ensure the quality of the finish. This is the ultimate in finishes and a truly professional process.

- Hidden weld and hardware design visually maintains sharp, crips lines for an overall finished look.
- Enclosed tread ends - stiffens the stair and helps to hide assembly hardware
- 1" Round aluminum balusters with custom tips: pre-set to the exact angle of the stair for a smooth connection to the handrail
- Baluster pockets - which allows the baluster to mount inside the tread corner
- Continuous sleeve treads gives the center column a smooth and uniform appearance (an exact floor to floor measurement is required)
- Diamond pattern tread covering provides a non-slip surface while providing architectural styling.
- Aluminum handrail: constructed in one piece, powder coated to the color of the stair.
The Endurance aluminum code compliant spiral stair kit includes:

- Center column, base plate and top cap
- 1" outside diameter round aluminum balusters (1 per tread)
- Center balusters to reduce spacing to less than 4" between balusters
- 1-1/4" outside diameter handrail (aluminum handrail is standard, powder coated to stair color)
- Platform railing - 1" x 1" frame with 1" round balusters, platform (square)
- 40" tall column extension
